Our Veterinary Hospital
Providing high-quality, low-cost care for pet owners has been part of Women’s Animal Center’s mission since we first opened the doors to our Veterinary Hospital in 1909.
Although many advances in veterinary medicine have been made throughout the years, we’ve found that one thing remains the same: Pet owners appreciate superior care for their pets at more affordable fees. As America’s First Animal Shelter, we strive not only to place animals in their new homes, but to support them remaining with their families by helping to make pet ownership affordable.
Women's Animal Center provides a broad range of healthcare services for dogs, cats and other small domestic pets as part of our commitment to maintaining the health and well-being of animals in our community. We are among just 15% of veterinary hospitals nationwide to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. Women's Animal Center is also a Fear Free practice, providing our clients with a standard of care intended to reduce fear, anxiety and stress during vet visits, and creating an experience that is safer for all involved, including pets, owners and our veterinary staff.
Women's Animal Center Veterinary Hospital offers scheduled appointments during our regular business hours. All service fees raised through our nonprofit hospital are directly reinvested to support the compassionate care, enrichment and rehoming of our shelter animals.
