Accreditation

Women's Animal Center is among just 15% of veterinary hospitals and 5% of animal shelters in the United States to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

AAHA accreditation means that a facility has been evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence. To maintain their accreditation, hospitals undergo a rigorous review by veterinary experts every three years. State regulations for veterinary hospitals can vary widely; in fact, some states do not routinely inspect hospitals, only initiating an inspection when a complaint is filed by a pet owner. AAHA accreditation is considered the standard for veterinary excellence, and does not vary between states.

Combined with our mission-based focus to make pet ownership affordable, thus helping to keep animals in their homes and out of shelters, our AAHA accreditation also means that families in need throughout our community are not forced to sacrifice quality veterinary care for lack of funds.
