Lost & Found

Women's Animal Center reunites hundreds of lost pets brought to our animal shelter with their families each and every year. Many of those animals are posted on our Facebook page, Lost & Found Pets of Women's Animal Center.

We encourage you to join thousands of fellow citizens and animal lovers throughout Lower Bucks and Philadelphia counties by following our posts, and keeping your eyes open for matches to the missing pets within your own communities. Our only goal is getting lost pets back home where they belong.

Of the 10 million pets who become lost in the U.S. every year, only 22% of dogs without a chip brought to animal shelters ever make it back home. For unchipped cats, that number falls to a sobering 2%. Microchipping your pet is the most important step you can take to ensure that your own four-legged family member doesn't become one of the statistics. Unlike collars and tags, it provides your pet with a permanent means of identification, and increases the chances that he or she will find their way back home to you should they become lost.

All shelter animals at Women’s Animal Center are spayed, neutered and microchipped before they become available for adoption, and we provide these same services at a low-cost for the owned pets in our community as part of our lifesaving mission. Learn more about these services offered through the Women's Animal Center Veterinary Hospital.
